The first city Cable Car in UK given the Green Light

Comments Off

A cable car linking the Greenwich Peninsula with the Royal Docks proposed by TFL and has been given the green light.

The cable car will operate at a height of 50m, and be able to carry up to 2500 passengers over the Thames every hour. The privately funded scheme would cut travel times between the O2 and ExCeL which will both host Olympic and Paralympic events. The hope is that the cable car will be ready in time for the Olympics.
